COVID-19 (CoronoVirus) - THE RACE IS STILL ON.
San Domenico will continue to follow UK Athletics and UK Government advice concerning COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
By now everyone should be fully informed of events regarding Coronovirus, our countermeasures are as follows:
We are an entirely outdoor event.
No Handshaking.
Water Bottles at the water stations are sealed, not opened.
Water station marshals will be wearing medical latex gloves.
Do not take refreshments of any kind from anyone else.
None of our volunteers are symptomatic.
If you, as an entrant or spectator, are symptomatic do not attend the race.

PARKING: You must follow the directions of the parking marshals, they will direct you to park in the public car park which is to the left of the leisure centre.
RACE HQ: Is not in the leisure centre, it is located to the right of the leisure centre main entrance (under the canopy).
START / FINISH: Located at the rear of the leisure centre, from registration walk around to the rear of the building.

Race overview

  • Scenic, accurately measured and certified 20 Mile and 10 Mile race routes, Welsh/UK Athletics Race Permit applied for.
  • Category Prizes / Baggage area(at competitors own risk / First Aid Provision & Water stations / Post-race refreshments and food available to purchase in leisure centre cafe
  • Race numbers are to be collected on the day / No entry fees can be refunded or deferred, even if the race is cancelled or re-scheduled
  • Unfortunately the course is not suitable for wheelchair athletes 
  • Headphones / Personal Stereos are not to be worn at this race as marshal's instructions must be obeyed at all times, people contravening this rule will face disqualification

IMPORTANT NOTE: For the 20 miler there is a 4 hours 30 minutes cutoff time, at 10 miles we will operate a 2 hours 15 minutes course closure.

Using the improved, faster 2019 course consisting of two laps for the 20 Miler. One lap for the 10 Miler.

Pre-race safety briefing information

You are responsible for being suitably fit and healthy to complete this event. Although all of the course is on a tarmac path or road, we do not have exclusive use of it so please observe the normal rules of traffic and obey any instructions given by the marshals. There are a number of anti-vehicle bollards in the centre of the path, please take care when passing these. If possible warn other runners of their presence. Unless otherwise directed by a marshal stay on the left hand side of the route. If you injure yourself or see anyone hurt please inform the nearest marshal. There will be first aid cover during the event. There are several access points where spectators can watch the race, please observe any instructions given by a marshal at these points.

Are you fit to run?

It is the participants responsibility to ensure that they are physically fit to run and have adequately prepared themselves

Water stations

Several water /aid stations are planned to be on the course and one at the finish. The water will be in bottles not cups. Gels will also be available at some of the water stations.

Prize presentations and results

The awards ceremony will take place at race headquarters at around 12:30PM. On race day, provisional results will be displayed at race headquarters as soon as available. 
Results will also be posted on the San Domenico website as soon as possible after the race:

Female - 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
1st in each of the following age categories - FV35, FV45, FV55, FV65+.

Male - 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
1st in each of the following age categories - MV35, MV45, MV55, MV65+.

Team prize - First 3 runners to count - based on finish position. Male teams / female teams
